1. Chicken Potpie

With a thin layer of crispy coating outside, chicken pot pie is great kids friendly dinner idea you can cook for dinner. However, preparing the original pie recipes might be a tedious task for us. But with this recipe, I prepared the whole meal from scratch within 20 minutes.

For this, preheat your oven to 200 °C and spread some olive oil on the baking tray. Arrange the pastry sheets on the tray and bake until the sheets become golden puffs and crispy. Once it’s done, you take the pastry sheets out of the oven and keep them aside.

Meanwhile, add some sliced onions and garlic cloves and sauté for a minute. Once the onions turn slightly soft, add some chicken pieces and bacon to them. Add some marsala or white wine to it and cook until the liquid has mostly evaporated.

Once the vegetables are slightly softened up, add some all-purpose flour on top of them and slowly stir in some milk. Bring it to a simmer and add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for some more time, or until the vegetables are well cooked and softened up!

If you have tried everything in your power to give veggies to your kids and failed miserably, this kids friendly dinner recipe could be a game changer. The crunch of nachos, when combined with the flavors from sauces and veggies is a great way to lure your kids to eat their dinner.

Add ingredients like beans, bell peppers, tomatoes, red onion, and sliced jalapenos on top of it, and then hide all these ingredients under a layer of shredded cheese. What makes this recipe stand out from the rest and make it even more healthy and delicious is its avocado-cilantro spread.

Make sure to blend until you get a thick and creamy paste. However, if you have a lot of people to feed or just want your sauce to have a much looser consistency, you can add more water and blend it one more time.

Before taking it out of the oven, make sure that the cheese is melted and the top layer of nachos has turned slightly brown. Also, make sure to place the nachos on the top layer of the oven. Take out the nachos and spread the avocado and cilantro spread on top of them.
