Gordon Ramsay’s turkey curry recipe needs easy-to-handle equipment and simple ingredients. Read the lists below to make sure you have all of these available with you. Follow the instructions carefully and enjoy this delicious turkey curry with your family.

. Expert Tips That I Recommend

  • Make sure you fry the curry paste for 2-3 minutes, as it helps release the aroma and add a rich flavor to the curry.
  • You need to add coconut milk to enjoy a rich, creamy flavor of the gravy.
  • Do not boil the gravy after adding the coconut milk, as there is a chance it can get curdled.
  • Add the cooked turkey to the gravy at the end, as overcooking may make it dry in texture.
  • Always chop the vegetables in the same size, as they can cook at the same pace and evenly.

Recipe Variation for Different Diets

  • Gluten-Free Version: Replace regular coconut milk with gluten-free coconut milk, and soy sauce with tamari in the recipe. Double-check if garam masala is gluten-free or not.
  • Keto Version: Instead of shallots, add green onions; check if garam masala is sugar-free or not. Replace the regular coconut milk with unsweetened coconut milk and use coconut amino instead of soy sauce.

Storing And Reheating This Recipe

Storing

  • Allow the turkey curry to cool down completely. Then add it to an airtight container, and keep it in the refrigerator. Make sure you consume it within 3-4 days.
  • For longer storage, you can also freeze it. All you need to do is add the turkey to a freezer-safe container and freeze it for up to 2 to 3 months.

Reheating

  • Oven: First, preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Then add it to an oven-safe dish and cover it lightly with foil. Now heat it well for 25-35 minutes.
  • Stovetop: Take a skillet, add the turkey along with curry. Then gently warm for 5-8 minutes. But you need to keep checking in between to prevent it from overheating.

FAQs About Gordon Ramsay’s Turkey Curry

Why should I fry curry paste first?

The frying is important as it helps in releasing the oils and aroma of lemongrass, ginger, and garlic, making it more flavourful and adding depth to the dish.

What if my curry is too thick?

If the consistency of the curry is thick, you can add a splash of broth to it. Keep adding it and stir it till you get the desired consistency.

How do I avoid vegetables from turning mushy?

You can add some firm vegetables like beans and broccoli, and later add soft vegetables like spinach so that they do not turn mushy. I hope this simple technique saves your vegetables from turning mushy.

Why does the curry taste bitter?

The curry usually tastes bitter when you add too much lemon, the garlic has been burnt, or the red chili is in more quantity than advised. In order to prevent it from turning bitter, just fry the curry on high heat for a few minutes, stir it, and keep the seasoning in check while adding.
