Bobby Flay Meatballs Recipe

Bobby Flay Meatballs Recipe

Last weekend, I decided to make Bobby Flay’s meatballs because I was craving something warm and meaty. Well, it turned into one of those slow, comforting evenings that remind you why cooking at home feels so grounding.

What I love about this recipe is how it takes something so humble like ground meat, herbs, and a few pantry staples – and turns it into something that feels like a celebration.

By the time I am done with the recipe, the aroma of the golden meatballs soaking in deep red sauce with the spaghetti perfectly al dente takes over the kitchen. Honestly, it felt like more than just dinner. It was comfort, warmth, and a little bit of nostalgia, all in one bowl, and I think you should definitely give this simple yet soulful recipe a try.

Expert Tips That I Recommend

  • I would suggest chilling the mixture in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
  • I avoid overmixing the meatballs so that they are firm and juicy,
  • When I mix the breadcrumbs, I add them gradually so I don’t overdo it.
  • I let the sauce simmer over low heat to develop richer flavors.
  • I make sure to use the ingredients at room temperature.

What To Serve With This Recipe

I would suggest serving some Creamy Mashed Potatoes with these meatballs. I love to enjoy it with Zucchini Noodles when I want something healthy and savory at the same time. I even serve it with Grilled Vegetables or Roasted Potatoes. When I want something more flavorful, garlic bread on the side does the work.

  • 3 Tablespoons Freshly chopped Basil Leaves

Equipment

  • Small sauté pan
  • Large Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Spoon or Spatula
  • Plastic wrap or lid
  • Large sauté pan or frying pan
  • Tongs or a slotted spoon
  • Baking Sheet
  • Paper Towels
  • Medium Saucepan
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Pot
  • Serving pot or bowl
  • Serving tongs or ladle

Method

  1. I start by preparing the meatballs by heating some oil in a pan and sauteing chopped garlic for about 1 minute.
  2. In another bowl, I take some eggs and whisk them with some parsley, and then add browned garlic, meats, and cheese to the same.
  3. After this, I add the breadcrumbs and season with salt & pepper. I transfer the mixture to the refrigerator and let it chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Then I make balls out of the meat mixture and keep it aside. Meanwhile, I heat the remaining oil in a large saute pan over high heat and cook the meatballs until golden.
  5. I transfer the meatballs to a baking sheet lined with paper towels. Then I heat some more oil in a saucepan and cook the onion, garlic & chili flakes together. Once the onions are brown, I stir in tomato sauce and cook it for 30 seconds.
  6. After this, I cover the pan and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Then I add some salt and pepper, to taste, followed by parsley sprigs. I let the mixture sit for another 10 minutes by stirring in between.
  7. I add meatball to the sauce and cook the meatballs further over medium heat until the sauce is reduced and thick. I cook them for about 30 minutes to get the perfect consistency.
  8. Then, I add the cooked spaghetti and coat it with some sauce by tossing. I add some chopped basil into the sauce and then pour it over the spaghetti and meatballs.
  9. Do not forget to grate some parmesan on top and garnish with parsley to enjoy the warm and meaty Bobby Flay Meatballs.
