- In a bowl, mix beef broth and salt. In another bowl, combine black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Mix the spice blend with the broth to form a flavorful marinade.
- Place the brisket in a dish or bag, pour the marinade over it, and refrigerate overnight to absorb flavors.
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (about 110°C). Place the brisket inside and smoke for several hours until tender (internal temp ~195°F).
- Remove the brisket, wrap it in foil or butcher paper, and let it rest in a warm place for about 2 hours.
- Slice the brisket against the grain and serve warm with your favorite sides or barbecue sauce.
