If you’re a steak freak, there’s a healthier option for you to have beef in your meal. It’s Gordon Ramsay’s beef salad. The tender and juicy slices of steak are served with mixed veggies and spiced up with tangy and fishy salad dressing. This is the healthiest way to cook a steak. Try this once, and switching to salad would be much easier and more fun.

Gordon Ramsay’s beef salad is flavored with a Thai-inspired salad dressing. The steak is perfectly cooked with a crispy golden-brown crust. Prefer cutting thick slices of the steak over thin slices. Thin-cut slices of the steak can make them stone-cold. Also, render all the fat to keep the steak tender. Let it melt and add more flavor to the steak. This beef salad looks colorful and brightens up the dinner table every time you serve it.

You can have this Gordon Ramsay recipe for a snappy lunch or dinner salad, for a party or family dinner. You’ll find the list of kitchen equipment and the ingredients required for the recipe. Try this now, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy making this delicious Gordon Ramsay beef salad. Follow the instructions mentioned below, and it’ll be as delicious as made by Gordon Ramsay in the video provided in the recipe card.

    Expert Tips That I Recommend

    • You need to keep the steaks at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before cooking. It helps with even cooking of beef.
    • Before you apply seasoning, make sure you remove excess moisture so the seasoning adheres well and gives a perfect golden-brown sear.
    • Always cook beef in batches so that it gets a better sear than just steaming.
    • Avoid flipping it too often, as it affects the cooking process. Let it develop a crust from one side, then only flip it.
    • You need to slice it against the grain to enjoy a tender texture.

    Recipe Variation for Different Diets

    • Keto Version: Replace golden caster sugar and palm sugar with monk fruit sweetener. Also, check the label to see if the fish sauce is keto-friendly.
    • Gluten-Free Version: Check the label to see if the fish sauce is gluten-free.

    Storing And Reheating This Recipe

    Storing

    • Allow the beef to cool down completely. Then add the beef to an airtight container and the salad in a different container. Now refrigerate. Make sure you consume it within 3-4 days.

    Reheating

    • Oven: First, preheat the oven to 320°F. Then add the beef to an oven-safe dish and cover it lightly with foil. Now heat it over medium heat for 8-12 minutes.
    • Stovetop: Take a skillet, add the beef slices along with some broth. Then gently warm for 1-2 minutes on each side. But you need to keep checking in between to prevent it from overheating, as it can affect the texture and turn the beef dry.

What To Serve With This Recipe

Gordon Ramsay’s Beef Salad pairs well with classic steamed jasmine rice and rice noodles. If you want to add something healthy to the recipe, enjoy it with roasted Brussels sprouts or fresh lettuce and cucumber salad. You can also add fresh mango slices or rice paper rolls to keep it filling and satisfying.

FAQs About Gordon Ramsay’s Beef Salad

How long should I sear the beef steaks?

You need to sear the beef steaks for approximately 2-3 minutes each side over medium-high heat. But the exact time still depends on the steak’s thickness.

Why does the beef not have a good sear?

The beef usually doesn’t get a good sear if the pan isn’t hot enough or you didn’t dry it properly. Before adding beef, make sure the pan is hot and the beef is well-dried to achieve a crispy crust.

What if my palm sugar is not dissolving?

If the palm sugar is not dissolving, then you can finely grate it or chop it before adding it. You can also let the dressing sit for a few minutes and stir again.

How do I prevent salad from becoming soggy?

You can prevent salad from getting soggy by keeping the vegetables dry and not adding too much dressing. Otherwise, you can assemble it right before serving.
