If you are a rib lover like me, then you’ll definitely love the prime rib. It is really easy to make and is really delicious. if you want to treat yourself to some rich and tender meat, the prime rib is perfect for you.

Prime rib is an excellent choice of meat. It is one of the most tender cuts of meat. It is also juicy and marbled with fat. This meat is also really flavorful. If it is cooked right, it makes for a heavenly meal.

To make prime rib, mix black pepper, salt, rosemary, thyme leaves, olive oil, and garlic in a small bowl. Pat the prime rib dry and apply the garlic mixture over it. Let it rest for 2 hours. Then, bake it for 30 minutes. Lower the oven temperature and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Take it out and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then, carve it and serve.

Expert Tips That I Recommend

  • Always pick a well-marbled roast as it helps in keeping meat juicy and flavourful during long resting periods.
  • As a rib roast is thick, it is important to season the exterior well. You can also salt it hours before preparing it.
  • Make sure you use softened butter and not melted butter because softened butter adheres better to the roast.
  • If your roast is unevenly shaped, then you can tie it with kitchen twine. It helps in even cooking.
  • Avoid adding liquid to the roasting pan as it can affect the intense dry heat needed for initial sear.
